We’re pleased to announce that FWCloud 2.3.0 is now available. This new release includes powerful features, performance enhancements, and important fixes, making FWCloud more efficient, intelligent, and user-friendly than ever. Discover what’s new and start using it today.
ATTENTION: For this new FWCloud release a version of Node.js equal to or higher than 20 is required.
These are the new modules versions:
- FWCloud-API 2.3.0
- FWCloud-UI 2.3.0

- Potentially dangerous rules detection. Now the FWCloud policy compiler is able to detect potentially dangerous rules. For example, if in a forward policy you create a rule that allows any traffic from any interface and any service, when the policy is compiled a warning window will arise warning you about such rule.
- New section in the firewall options tab in order to disable/enable the different levels potentially dangerous rules detection mechanism.
- Improved the FWCloud lock mechanism. Now it is possible to force the unlock of a previously locked FWCloud by another user. Such user gets a notification of the lock release.
- Added the Apply To column for DHCP, Keepalived, and HAProxy management sections.
- Custom drag preview and improved drag state tracking for tree and grid operations.
- Tailwind CSS and PostCSS tooling for the UI build.
- Upgraded Angular framework to the latest versión.
Update procedure
For DEB/RPM packages based Linux distributions simply update the FWCloud-API and FWCloud-UI packages by means of your Linux distribution package management tools.
To update Docker containers when new versions of FWCloud are available follow the next instructions published in the corresponding section of the FWCloud website.
For the FWCloud-Installer script installations, the next time you access your FWCloud platform by means of the web user interface, a popup message will warn you about the new versions for FWCloud-UI, FWCloud-API and FWCloud-Websrv packages. Say yes to run the update process and your FWCloud platform will be updated in a matter of a few minutes.
